Psychotherapy
My approach in psychotherapy is very holistic in nature and non-traditional. While talk therapy may work for some, it may not work for others. Therefore, I incorporate different ways of assisting you along your journey. Sometimes we find ourselves seeking an answer we can't seem to find on our own, and often the answer is within us and just needs a little assistance in making itself known. That is where I hope to be your guide and walk along your journey with you. You are your own expert and I often am even your student, as you learn about yourself. I use a strengths based approach, identifying the positive aspects that already exist within you and we build upon and explore new strengths that arise as we work together. While I incorporate the mind, body, and spirit in our work together, know that this is based upon your belief systems and you guide how we navigate your path.
Life Coaching
As a life coach, my goal is to create a supportive space while you work towards achieving your goals through personal growth and self-discovery. Often times it can be confusing which route is best for you, therapy of life coaching. On the life coaching path, I am able to meet in the community, support you in non-traditional holistic modalities, and provide assistance after hours when needed. We may work one on one or in groups with other individuals if it is of interest for you.
Yoga
I am a 200RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) trained in Hatha and Vinyasa style yoga as well as meditation and mindfulness practices. My approach to yoga is to teach from my heart and also allow my students to guide the practice based on their interest and ability. I firmly believe that yoga has tremendous benefits, both physically and most importantly, emotionally. Additionally, I have training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and may incorporate these approaches into the psychotherapy we do together if it is of interest to you.
