"The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away"
~Pablo Picasso
Education and Experience
I received a Bachelor's of Social Work in 2007 and a Master's of Social Work in 2016, both from Colorado State University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of Colorado, an International Life Coach, as well as a Registered Yoga Instructor and Master Reiki Practitioner.
My professional experience began in 2004, working in a residential facility with at-risk youth and I have since continued working with children/adolescents/teens, families, and couples in different capacities both for the state, county, and local non-profits. I draw from my experiences in all fields to foster an environment of non-judgement and understanding.
As a psychotherapist, I believe it is crucial in finding ways for a person to find healing as quickly as possible, while recognizing that therapy also takes time and commitment. With this, I study and research new topics and ways to approach a multitude of treatment modalities, including non-traditional and holistic approaches.
In addition, I am a Registered Yoga Teacher and my training also includes using yoga to begin recovering from traumatic experiences, which is an evidence-based practice to aid individuals in reconnecting with their physical body. This can also be extremely beneficial for anyone working on substance abuse or addiction.
